Did you know that it was English Poet Geoffrey Chaucer who
was the first to record St.Valentine's Day as a romantic celebration in his poem"Parliament of Foules" in 1375 he wrote:
“For this was sent on Seynt Valentyne’s day / Whan every foul cometh ther to choose his mate.”(not my poor spelling it's Olde English).
