Upcycled Fishing Boat Furniture

From the beautiful Indonesian island of Bali, craftsmen have upcycled teak wood which is mainly from retired traditional fishing boats, carefully handcrafting the wood into stunningly elegant pieces furniture.

The seasoned wood retains some of the original colours and rustic finish

that makes each piece unique and very eye-catching!

Traditionally when these boats become old and repairs become too expensive, they were burned for cooking fuel, today it is better for the environment and the fishermen to sell up old boats as they can get a better return and save the precious timber for a second life.
